Every new pair of Paris Trucks are guaranteed against manufacturer defects in workmanship or materials for the lifetime of the original owner. The warranty covers bent axles as well as any manufacturer’s defects that would cause the trucks to fail or be unrideable. This DOES NOT cover trucks that have been abused, stolen, or ran over by a vehicle!
It’s our company policy that we review every set of returned trucks in detail to determine whether the product is in fact a manufacturer or material defect. This also helps us improve the quality of our products as well.
Paris will cover the return shipping of any replacement products but it is your responsibility to cover the shipping to get them to us.
We don’t expect you to pay a ton of money to ship a set of trucks from another country. We will handle all international claims on a case by case basis, so please contact us using the warranty form if you feel you have a claim.
First off, maintaining your trucks will help keep your ride as smooth and quiet as the day you bought it. All trucks squeak. Often the squeaking comes from a part of your trucks called the “pivot cup” or bushings. It’s caused by friction between the pivot cup, bushings and the hanger.
To fix it simply remove the hanger off of the baseplate and take soap shavings, wax or standard bearing lube and spread it on all bushing surfaces and inside of the pivot cup. Then reassemble the truck and you’re good to go. That will loosen up the trucks and add a more fluid turn.
This is common issue with almost all types of skateboard trucks. Longboards, skateboards and their components are designed to be ridden, so it’s not uncommon for longboards to behave differently when not being ridden. If it rides fine while you’re on it, it’s nothing to worry about. The return to center isn’t always 100% perfect without some assistance from the rider. After a hard turn, if you step off the board the trucks might not always rebound to the center and will stay turned. This can be caused by your pivot cups being tight or your kingpin nut being too tight causing the bushings to bind up. Most skateboards will never ride in exactly a straight line regardless of what pivot cups or bushings you use. Loosening the trucks, lubing the bushings and pivot cup, or installing new bushings can help. But just remember, when you’re riding a skateboard, you control it, when you’re off the skateboard, it’s controlling itself.
Baseplate angles can drastically change the way a board rides and feels.
For most types of skating 50° trucks will provide the best all-around performance. The higher geometry gives 50° trucks a lively, playful, surf-like feel, which is great for carving, cruising, dancing, freestyle and everything in between.
The 43° baseplate angle creates a slower, more stable and less responsive feeling when riding. For those looking for more stability at speeds the 43° baseplate option is the move
Paris Trucks are made in China and Taiwan, side-by-side with some of the industry's other most prestigious truck brands, however, our Paris Truck Co. stock bushings are made in the USA.
